Qaslah Palace is a historic palace built during the reign of King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud in the year 1360 AH - 1940 AD in the city of Hail. The construction of the palace lasted one and a half years


The origin of the word Qishla comes from the Turkish word Qeshla (Turkish: Kışla), which means the winter camp.


Description of the Citadel The castle is rectangular and built of clay and extends from east to west with a length of 241 meters, and a width from north to south with a width of 141 meters. The palace consists of two floors where the ground floor contains 83 rooms in addition to domes and the upper floor contains 59 rooms in addition to the buildings of other services, all of these rooms overlooking the Palace Square, and in the corners of four square towers. In the middle of the walls, there are also four towers called retaining towers and the height of the eight towers is 12 meters. The building has two main entrances. The palace was built on the style of the Najdi school style of construction, but its stucco decoration is a feature of traditional architecture in Hail. These decorations are stucco decorated with geometric and vegetal elements. The building area is 19,932 square meters.
