What is known to the people of the city of Tabuk the prophet’s mosque . The origin of the mosque dates back to the Battle of Tabuk in 9 AH where the Prophet Muhammad prayed ten nights. The first building of the mosque was under the Umayyad background Omar bin Abdul Aziz, where it was built of clay and palm fronds for the ceiling and carved stones. The mosque was renovated in the Ottoman period in 1062 AH (1651 AD) and was rebuilt again in the Saudi era and ordered to be renovated in the style of the Holy Mosque in 1393 AH
